Random quote: “Above all, I would like to be remembered as a man who was selfless, who strove and worried so that others could share the glory, and who built up a family of people who could hold their heads up high and say, 'We're Liverpool'.

Come on everyone!!!

We're playing this lot in a fortnight and there are still loads of tickets available. Why aren't most people interested I wonder?

We can't claim that it's because it's on a weeknight in February and it'll be difficult to get transport to/from Anfield because that doesn't ring true. After all, we played Real Madrid this time last year and everyman and his wife...and their dog as well...was asking for tickets.

We all say "Liverpool fans are the best in the World"...so let's prove it, because at this rate Anfield'll be only half full. If Arsenal can sell out 60,000 for a Carling Cup match against lower league opposition, then we should have no trouble in selling out 45,000 for a European game. In theory anyway.

Anyway, Unirea aren't so bad...they beat Rangers 4-1 in Glasgow so they must have some half decent players, so they're not the backwater team that people make them out to be. So they should give us a decent game.

Let's prove to the world, to the players...and to Rafa...that we the fans are right behind the team. Let's prove to the world that we're not all glory hunters and we're ready to support OUR team through thick and thin.

We might not be where we'd like to be at this point of the season but it could've been much worse, and the UEFA Cup/Europa League is the only trophy that's left, so we should give our all to support the team. After all, the Europa League is better than nothing, and since we won't be in Madrid in May, at least let's strive to be in Hamburg.

I couldn't believe how easy it was to book a ticket yesterday. The first time ever that I've got straight onto the website and booked a ticket without having to sit there refreshing the screen to try and get to the booking area- and I got a really good seat as well. It's a fantastic opportunity for people who normally struggle to get tickets to get to Anfield and watch the team play. General sale started today, so what are you waiting for ????

I heard there was going to be a massive boycott because of over pricing for the game ... Arsenal only get full houses for carling cup as tickets are reduced to £5 / £10 ...

There was talk of tickets being £20 or so for this game and then when it was announced at £32 ... fans thought it was a piss take etc and hence the huge availability for tickets ...

p.s. please don't compare real madrid in champions league v this game ... i know you all think we are all perfect fans (or should be) but some games clearly have more appeal then others and are worth a day of work ... btw ... I am going so keep the handbags away ... i'm just stating what most people are thinking !

Quick question...do Liverpool fans come to Anfield to support Liverpool or to lust after the opposition?

This sounds like the perfect Valentines gift to me. What says romance like watching an overpriced no mark eastern European team on a freezing cold February night?

Could be even worse...some of us are going to Bucharest to watch the return leg. Average February tempretures are -5C, snows about 10 hours a day and I just heard that when outside, p**s freezes before it hits the floor. And the stadium isn't covered, hasn't got toilets and there's only 1 decent all night bar in the whole town.

How's that for romance?

Can't wait for the away leg.

At the end of the day lads, you're watching Liverpool - the team you have chosen to support. Get behind the lads as its as important as ever at the moment.

Through thick and thin remember.

Well it's clear to see from the ticket sales so far that most fans are thinking on the same level ... yes through these crazy times we face ... most supporters have remained strong and behind the team ... but during the tough economic climate and sometimes when the team performs as it did against the likes of wolves / reading etc in recent times ... people will think twice about parting with their hard earned cash and hence naturally pick and choose matches ... it's their right ...

The club have made a mockery of fans of late and everyone at the club need's to step up and take responsibility ... they are ripping fans of for this game and that is plain and simple to see ... I'm self employed and hence it's easy for me to pick and choose when I take time of but if I was working for an employer and had to take holidays etc ... and I know the handbags will come out ... but sorry to say ... I wouldn't take time of to see this match ... especially when arsenal / everton / man city games are just round the corner ... most are thinking it ... i'm just saying it .. LOL !

Anyway .. for those that can attend .. here is the link to the coach info .. response so far is slow and if it doesn't pick up .. the coach will be cancelled !!

£32! i wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. They could have filled the ground if they had just been reasonable and charged a score, now i doubt they'll get 30,000 in.

Not so sure about the atmosphere not being good...even though we do have only 30,000 at least it'll be 30,000 genuine fans and not rubbish tourists who are there for the view.

oh get over yourself. Financial constraints, work commintments etc. dictate that people have to pick and choose which games they go to. It happens and it doesn't mean that they're any less of a fan!

Completely agree!

especially if those muppets decide that roadworks on a match night is the way to go, as anyone who was on the coach on the way back from the spurs game would testify. For those who weren't we arrived back at Euston 5 am and straight to work for some of us!

Wigan was also a nighmare experience But thanks to Monkey's driving the damge was limited to 4am!

For those that are moaning about time and getting back home late etc, there is a solution to all these problems.

(I agree that £32 is scandalous price from the club, but not attending because its lesser opposition is (IMO) bollocks!)

One good thing about playing at home first is that if you do the job right over the 1st leg, the match is more or les over by the 2nd. Hopefully...no disrespects...we should swat these them aside and put the tie out of reach on Thursday. We have 4th position to fight for...not exactly what I was hoping to say in mid-February at the start of the season...and we really need to get some confidence and build up a head of steam that would keep us winning till May.

Start with TWO strikers...from Kuyt/Ngog/Babel and generally have an attacking formation throughout. That means proper wide players...Maxi/Riera and an attack minded midfield...Aquilani/Pacheco. I know Rafa would have a heart attack and will probabaly drop down dead if he doesn't start with Lucas and Mascherano but I reckon we don't really need two defensive midfielders against this lot. So start with one or the other. The Greek is back for this so should start...Carragher, Agger and Insua make up the back 4. And of course Pepe in goal. All this of course with Gerrard linking the midfield with attack.

We really need to have a go at this...a clean sheet and a 3 goal advantage would be perfect. We can win this competition without a doubt...let's try and make sure this season isn't a total write-off.

Another good thing about being away for the 2nd leg is that you get 120 minutes to score an away goal if things are tight. Hopefully though it'll not be necessary.
