Ok,

I'd be the first one to admit that the derby wasn't the best game we've played. It was flat, it wasn't slick, it wasn't pacey, it wasn't even good football.

What was good though was the attitude. The commitment. Now I know about the fact that it's a derby, blah blah blah....

But why is it that Jamie sets the tone 2 mins in - Super strong challenging tackle. Everyone running their hearts out. Everyone seemed hungry for the ball. Strong, stout defence.

But earlier on this season, my 10 yr old niece could have nipped past our back four, on crutches.

And yes low esteem, lack of confidence does have an effect - but please, why can't we have that "grr" attitude every game? Why can't we look at Portsmouth and Fulham and Sunderland and have the same attitude....?

That's another 9 points that should've been ours....

The whole of last season was based on why didn't we win those winnable games in the first half of the season .... seems the team and benetiz only start to deliver when it's crunch time and the pressure is really on ....

I think complacency has alot to do with it .... maybe running the title challenge so close last season made the head's of one or two players bigger then what they should be .... to be frank .... we have a weak squad and a load of crap on the bench at times (can't remember the last time a sub changed the game for us, all i think of is babel almost covering himself in glory in lyon and ngog finishing a job 3/4 done against the mancs) ... and regardless of what is acheived or not acheived should I say in the near future ... if we really want to win anything anytime soon .... we need better players than what we have .... with more competition for places you'll see how hungry players will become and in turn ... the results will flow !

Not getting to excited about anything at the mo ... lets see if we show the same hunger against a battered arsenal side or whether we pussyfoot around and hand them 3 points as seem's to be the case of late as we sit back and defend against a team who are there for the taking after having a good week ourselves ... I really feel that arsenal got outplayed on both occasion's bacause of the tempo set by the mancs and chavs over the last two weeks ... so the ball is in our court as to how we can WIN this game !

Hehe, that is quite funny! I enjoyed that! I think I may use it at work too!

Couldn't agree more. What we have failed to do all season is consolidate. Big wins against United, Everton and Spurs followed by disappointment against Fulham, Blackburn and Wolves make me very twitchy about Wednesday night.

Arsenal are there for the taking. I believe that if we win we will go and and take 3rd comfortably. Any other result and it's a slog for 4th with City & the rest.
