While all of them are decent enough managers, what we really need is a proven manager and someone who commands respect straight away and has a history of winning titles. I waited 20 odd years for the King to return, and the treatment is unjustified. Impatience, yet, is the name of the modern game. Maybe, the investment they felt they had made was not returning results. However, if the new owners are naive enough to think Liverpool Franchise Group can overcome both Mancs, Chelsea and a financially stable Arsenal Football Club then they are deluded. Replacing Kenny with a AVB would also be a disaster of the most epic proportions, more so than the appointment of Hodgson. Have they not seen the reaction of the Chelsea players to his management, or lack of it, skills. He would cause chaos in a team room. The only managers around Europe that players react to, and have a personal relationship with are Mourinho and Guardiola. However, both those lads are unlikely targets. To be really competitive any team needs 2-4 world class players and a squad of players who are average or better. Some players have their good days but no consistency. I think in the last 3-4 years our overall quality has dropped.
